Just wanted to talk a little bit about the entrepreneurial spirit in the legal field. We love to touch on business here, and especially small business.
With all the students entering and graduating from law school these days, it can be tough for young lawyers to find a traditional lawyer job.
Many, smart young lawyers end up taking the entrepreneurial route. One such attorney is University of Houston Law Center Graduate, Daniel Lazarine.
Mr. Lazarine seems to be using the internet to generate new business for his firm. I did not actually interview or even speak to him for this article, I simply got on Twitter and searched around for up and coming lawyers, and Mr. Lazarine had quite a social media presence.
Then I did a Google Search for “Houston Drug Crimes Lawyer” and Mr. Lazarine’s website and video appeared on the first page of the search results on Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
This is an advantage that these young lawyers have over their the old guard.
- They are not afraid to use the internet.
- They are not afraid to put themselves out there and advertise.
When is the last time you used a phone book to find a lawyer? Hello 1980…Exactly.
Good for you Mr. Lazarine. So nice to see that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the legal field, and you should start a training course for teaching other lawyers how to dominate on Google and Twitter. Congrats….look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
